The Christ-Shaped Household

In this passage Paul takes his ideas about the new humanity in Christ and imports them into the Greco-Roman household codes. The result is not the destruction of the household or its roles, but instead the radical reorientation of them all around Jesus. For those who listen, marriages, parent-child relationships, and economic relationships never were and will never be the same.
