Jesus the Sacrament

During the Passover meal, Jesus institutes a new practice by which His disciples will remember him. They are to take the bread and the cup, representing his body and his blood soon to be given in a New Covenant for the forgiveness of sins. In the communion meal we continue to encounter this Jesus, who is himself the ultimate sacrament.
