Images and Neighbors

When Jesus introduced His own ministry He said that He came to "proclaim good news to the poor," among other things. In other words, a central pillar of His mission was to do justice and compassion among the needy: in word and in deed, spiritually and materially, and flowing out of His love and grace. In this short series, we will consider what it means to be a people who take Jesus's words about "the least of these" seriously, recognizing everyone--no matter how downtrodden--is meant to be recognized and treated both as an image of God and as a neighbor.
