God, Goodness, & Suffering

The book of Job is an epic lyrical poem sandwiched between two narrative prose sections that add up to one of the great works of world literature (in addition to being Christian Scripture). It examines the some of the most profound questions of human existence related to the reality of suffering and the goodness and trustworthiness of God. Job is not an easy book, but wrestling with its Spirit-inspired words will help form us into the kinds of people who can live wisely with God in a pain-soaked world.
