Special Lent Reading: "When Helping Hurts"

As we continue to consider what it might look like for our church to be a presence of justice and compassion in our city, we are inviting anyone interested to read through "When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty without Hurting the Poor... and Yourself" by Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert over the course of Lent. This book deals with the more practical side of poverty alleviation and will make a great starting block for thinking together.

In April we will gather for an evening to share and brainstorm together what God has been stirring up among us in this area. More details to come. For now, grab a copy of the book and start reading!
