About the Weekend

The DoH Northeast summer campout has been a highlight of the last 3 summers. This is a great opportunity to spend extended time together as a community and deepen our relationships together. Per usual, this will be open to our entire church family including children and we hope that everyone will make an effort to be there.

Camp Whispering Winds

This year’s campout will be at Camp Whispering Winds — 220 acres of meadows, forests, and a central lake in the hills of Kings Valley, northwest of Philomath and Corvallis. We have the whole camp to ourselves. Take a look at the map to get an idea of the camp layout. Expect canoeing, archery, a low ropes course, mountain biking, pottery, a pool, and loads of fun times together.

Camping & Lodging

There are several options for lodging at Camp Whispering Winds which include tent houses, cabins, and covered wagons (aka cool looking tent houses). There may not be enough of these buildings for everyone so preference will be given to those who aren't already setup to tent camp, have special accomodations needed, and can fill all bunks in them.
